Below are 2 x Product Revisions that relate to SGT Remotes.

The impacted remotes are: 

  • SGT040    Advice Date:  7th March 2025  ;          Sold Between:  11/10/2024  &   6/3/2025   (see below)
  • SGT020    Advice Date:  26th February 2025;     Sold Between:      1/4/2024  &  25/2/2025   (see below)


Product Revision: Art. SGT040 - 7th March 2025

 

The Art. SGT040 Remote ('PTX4 Compatible' REMOTE - Non-Genuine) purchased between:

11th October 2024   to   6th March 2025 might contain 1 of 2 configurations.

Note:  There were 2 different version of packaging sold between these 2 dates.  This issue impacts both styles of packages.


Configuration 1

Contains a LR27A Battery (Non-Coin) and as such, there is no requirement for Package & Instruction Warnings in relation to the Australian Coin Battery Standards (2020).

There is ARE NO FURTHER ACTIONS needed for remotes sold in this Configuration.


Configuration 2

Contains a 2032 Battery (Coin Battery) and as such, there is a requirement for the Packaging & Instructions to contain Warnings in relation to the Australian Coin Battery Standards (2020).

Items sold in this configuration during the dates list above DO NOT COMPLY with these Packaging & Instruction Warnings.

If you have confirmed you have stock in Configuration 2 without the appropriate Packaging & Instruction Warnings you are asked to contact SIEPER Group (www.sglocks.com.au/contact) for guidance on the best remedy to correct this issue.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE - RE: Configuration 2

The Compliance Criteria (All Categories) in relation to the actual Battery Safety Testing for Remotes in Configuration 2 is Passed in all Categories.  

This issue is in relation to the requirement for Packaging & Instruction Warnings ONLY (see above for corrective actions).




Product Revision: Art. SGT020 - 26th February 2025

 

The Art. SGT020 Remote ('PTX4 Compatible' REMOTE - Non-Genuine) purchased between:

1 April 2024    to   25th February 2025 might contain 1 of 2 configurations.

Note:  There were 2 different version of packaging sold between these 2 dates.  This issue impacts both styles of packages.


Configuration 1

Contains a LR27A Battery (Non-Coin) and as such, there is no requirement for Package & Instruction Warnings in relation to the Australian Coin Battery Standards (2020).
